Lord Krishna himself

As far as NY is concerned, there are two things which really don’t go hand in hand:
  1. Little money to spend
  2. Bieng a Foodie

I always believed (of course, inspired by The Alchemist), that "When a person really desires something, all the universe conspires to help that person to realize his dream"!

My desires are of course, not monumental, earth shattering, not of any significance to the society at large. Its fascinating, magical that the world around me can see my desires and the universe is conspiring to help me realize my dream of a plate of Masala Dosa (or the equivalent!)

To begin with, there are unlimited free eating opportunities at NYU. Of course, I find myself suddenly interested in things like the Post-modernistic view of Gay and Lesbian rights in Ethiopia (the end of the invite said: Refreshments will be served).

The key to success is of course, to be there when the universe is conspiring to help you. Well, the library. Any leftover food from university events, eventually lands up in the Library cafeteria. So, I was pleasantly surprised when some nice sandwiches and cookies made their way here at five in the evening. Thank you, dear universe.

And what prompted me this post, is when I landed here at the BLCC (Bobst Library Computer Centre) and saw an invite lying around for- The Starving Student All You Can Eat Vegeterian Dinner at the Krishna Temple Storefront (26 Second Aveue). Looks like this time Lord Krishna himself answered my prayers.

P.S. My friendie Jackie, sitting in the next computer just hissed to me, “Santhosh there is free food tomorrow, 4-6 at Kimmel”.

Oh Paulo Coelho, you are so true!
