It was the best Paneer Bhurji I have had until now. And the roti's were soft and fluffy. Sitting right by Chowpatty beach, once in a while the cool evening breeze would come through. With old Hindi songs playing in the background, it was a perfect Mumbai evening.
I was disspointed to see that there were no references to Crystal Hotel on the Internet. I would rate it as one of the best eateries for authentic Punjabi Food in Mumbai.
So, I created a entry in Wikipedia. Its a Stub (work-in-progress). So, if you are ever in Mumbai, go have dinner there and then help me update the entry.
Trust me, the best Panner Bhurji!

The entry has been deleted. I concurr with the admin, who deleted the entry; Wikipedia does not promote advertising.
But Santhosh, why don't you do a full post on Crystal Hotel, I am sure your readers would love to know more about it.
Hey Brad,
I dont think the entry deserves deletion. I'm in no way connected to this restaurant, and my goal was to provide credible information to people looking for good places to eat in Mumbai!
Well, thanks anyway. I will consider doing a full post on crystal, after another dinner there!
If you are providing credible information to people, then your service should include many other restaurants as well. As much as we appreciate your good intention, Santhosh, writing about just one restaurant is conclusively a promotion, which is not supported by Wikipedia.
Crystal is THE grand old inn alongthe queens necklace serving authentic punjabi veg food...that too Dhaba style. Now Amidst all the modern food houses, they havent changed a bit over the years!!
food at crystal is incomplete without the kulfi chops at the corner..
u r some foodie.. i must admit.
try the northie/ punju food at GRASSHOPPER near ashoka hall, sv rd, parle west.. a bit upmarket and pricey.. but not a disappointer at all..

Whoa! Somewhere you are. Being written back by a Wikipedia admin. Brag da, idiot.
Dear Uma Akka,
Yeah, its retained its old ambience, which is what I liked the most
Shankar Anna,
Will try Grasshopper soon. I'm defenitely some foodie, but I think it runs through the family!
Kiki,
I'm not the bragging type, sorry, that does not run through the family.

Who am I? Next door neighbour? X(
Hey!
Love your posts on food; your entire blog is interesting, but when you write about food, it's difficult to beat. Alternative profession for you: food critic.
I ate at Crystal EVERYDAY (well almost) for two months when I was stsying at Wilson College for my summers. Must have tried Paneer Bhurji too, since I'm a pukka paneer freak. Will drop in once more, now that you have recommended it.
We should meet up sometime.
Hey Gaurav,
Nice to See you around :)
I cant categorize myself as a food critic! More like a food junkie or just an hungre soul!
